Since entering the permanent diaconate in 1997, Chris has served at masses and communion services for St. Mary ' s and the Newman Center, proclaiming the Gospel and preaching. His ministry at the Newman Center includes leading the weekly Bible Study, facilitating the winter prayer retreat and meeting with students for spiritual direction. Chris is also a Professor of English at OSU, teaching the Literature of Western Civilization, Dante, and the Bible as Literature. He is the author of several books, including a recent poetry collection, My Problem With the Truth , and Teaching as Believing: Faith in the University , a reflection on being a Christian at a state school, which will soon be published by Baylor.

Originally from Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, Sue has been in campus ministry for 17 years. She earned her bachelor's degree at St. Michael's College in Vermont and her master's at Mundelein College in Chicago. In addition to all the time she spends ministering to students at OSU, Sue serves on the Executive Board for the Catholic Campus Ministry Association and on the team for the Frank J. Lewis Institute, helping train new campus ministers. In her spare time, she loves to travel, read and cook - which comes in handy as the director of campus ministry.
